Almost ready to call it a day with Marvel
For all the reasons discussed on this message thread, as well as the very public and dishonorable behavior of Marvel's Management team, I'm very close to dropping everything Marvel. Marvel's always been my publisher of choice, but it seems the arrival of the $3.99 price point ushered in a bevy of ma...

Lost me with Darick
Without Darick Robertson on the interiors, I'm not nearly as compelled to check in on the series on a monthly basis. I trade wait for 40%-plus off deals.

Re: Crossed: Family Values, what did you think of it? [Spoil
I don't know if my post has spoilers really but someone might discuss specifics so I put it in the thread title anyway. Well the last issue came out this week, just finished it. I felt this series tried to push boundaries just for the sake of it sometimes, as opposed to the first mini. I also felt ...

Re: Trying to get NEW readers based on a movie coming out
Does anybody think that because people go see a comic based move, that they will buy comics? I just don’t see this happening. Because of the new THOR movie, Marvel is coming out with yet another THOR comic and changing the current one to 'Journey into Mystery'. So know, do I buy both or just follow...

Re: Difference in Podcasts
Maybe it just me, but lately the podcasts seem to have a tension in them that wasn't there before. I realize that people can't agree on everything all the time, but the disagreements are more noticeable and almost feel awkward at times. Those moments take away from the enjoyment of the listening to...

I pleadged my backing of this today. Many thanks for your support of the book! We have made great progress in the last 48 hours thanks to some heavy retweet activity from some major comics players. I have every reason to believe we'll hit our goal! Great!!! I'm super excited for this, and I really ...

Preacher Trades - 1 a day
I finished Vol 1 yesterday and I'm about 1/5th of the way through 2. I expect to finish it before bed. I suspect that this will inform a big article somewhere down the road.

Saturday: 15 Sunday: 42 That leaves 68 on my list of new comics to read with another 46 arriving tomorrow. My mind simply cannot fathom the reading of 42 comics in one day. I'm doing the math in my head and it makes my eyes bleed. That would be equal to reading 3 1/2 years of a single title. Or at ...

Consolidation of Red Circle Titles = Imminent Cancellation
July Sales Figures: 176 12.25 $3.99 DC Mighty Crusaders 1 9,361 John, I gotta figure that with standard attrition (not to mention the $3.99 price point), we should see the Red Circle titles continue their downward sprial down the porcelain punchbowl of sales figures. I just can't believe that a JMS-...

Re: JMS Superman Too Heavy Handed
However, having said ALL OF THAT, I'm glad to hear that such a large percentage of comicm's audience is digging it. As long as a significant contingent of fans are enjoying the book, then a few dissenting voices like mine can be easily dismissed. What the hell kind of attitude is THAT for a comic b...
