This is the place to discuss the episodes of the Comic Book Page podcast, the Comic Book Page website or pretty much anything else of interest to the Comic Book Page community...
I got home today and besides checking to see if my copy of Batman Year One was still in the house (it was), I finally received a Rafael Albuquerque page from his digital Batman story that he wrote and drew. It looks so awesome. This is my second Albuquerque piece and definitely not my last.
In addition, I was sent a free Rafael Albuquerque Batman print. First time I ever purchased anything from Cadence Comic Art and I will buy again from Paolo. Great customer service.
I don't have a large scanner but here is the piece of art.

That's really nice, Hassan! Are you going to frame it?
Oh, yes!! I have this one, the Booth Spider-man, and one more I am waiting on before I re-arrange my comic book room. Currently, I have most prints in frame. But I am going to move some things around.
I recently received a Chris Burnham Batman Incorporated Page. And no, it isn't from issue 8. Those pages were way above what I was willing to spend. It is from Batman Incorporated 7, page 12. It a scene where Red Robin is escaping is escaping an exploding building. When I originally read the issue, I thought this action scene was very dynamic.
I have two more OAs coming this week and then I am taking a break from my wallet. :D

Thanks.
Ok, this may seem excessive but Chris Samnee had a sale of Monday of pre-drawn sketches. Listening to the 11 o'clock guys, I knew that Chris Saminee doesn't sell original art and therefore having the opportunity to buy an original art from Saminee doesn't happen all the time, especially since I don't go to many cons. Therefore, I decided to try to buy a sketch. His sketches went very fast. My first choice, a Batman and Bane sketch was gone before I knew it.
That said, I was able to grab a fantastic Daredevil sketch. Daredevil is one of my favorite Marvel characters so I was very happy.
I have recently been thinking about collecting original comic book art pages. Are there any specific reputable dealers (or non-reputable dealers) that you would recommend? Some of the prices can get crazy, but I have found some pieces online (http://splashpageart.comthat are reasonably priced.
Ya know, honestly I don't do the dealer search, other than Ted at Superworld comics, only because I know and trust him. I have a ritual of, whenever I go to a con, I like to walk away with a Golden age book and a piece of art so I just search for something that catches my eye. John and I have a mutual friend who collects Archie pages, he has a butt load of them but he gets them from all over. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
