Went to the Detroit Fanfare today (10/28/12) and got this from Allen Bellman. He was an artist for Timely back in the '40's.

I bought a couple of pages from Kevin Maguire from the new World's Finest series.
Kevin Maguire & Amanda Conner are the King & Queen of telling a story via facial expressions. I LOVE these pages by the "King of Expressions":

I like how every panel is similar yet completely different.

Awesome pages bob. Maguire is one of my grail artists. Was very happy to get a page from him. I asked him about how he does expressions - dies ge look in the mirror, look at reference, etc. he said he just draws them and always has. Amazing.

I just got this Brett Booth sketch of Superior Spider-man in the mail today. I am so happy that I got it. It looks great in person.

Other than the fact that it's the inferior "Superior Spider-Man" it's great
But seriously, it looks nice. Did you see him at a show somewhere or just commission it off the internet?

Why I am not surprised by your comment
BTW, if the Superior Spider-man outfit was signifcantly different from the classic look then I would not have purchased it.
I did get it off the internet. On Saturdays, at noon, Brett Booth would post a sketch on twitter. The first person that would email him, gets the sketch. His sketches are $175 (excluding shipping). He varies what he draws, although he tends to draw a Bat character once every three weeks.
I have been trying to get a sketch from him for months. Part of the problem is that you don't have a lot of time to decide to send him an e-mail or not once you see the posted art.
I also purchased two other pages and I will share them once I receive them.

I got a couple of pages from
Spencer Beck. If you've never ordered from Spencer it's a bit different. The site is ancient - think Geocities, Angelfire, etc blinking text old. He manually edits the html to add new pages and there's a TON of stale content. Some of the pages that I requested and he knows are not available are still up there three months later.
You e-mail him to request a page. This e-mail is the contract to purchase the page so if he has it, once he gets back to you, you're given ten calendar days to mail a check. Then he mails you the page. You're left in the dark for a long time at multiple stages of this process. It took about a month to find out these pages were in stock and then payment was due right over the Christmas/New Years break. I think I got the e-mail on December 26th and I was leaving for Canada a day or two after that. I barely got him the payment on time. Honestly I will probably not buy from him again because of all that nonsense.
These were packed really well for shipping. He stuck them to a piece of particle board and put it in a padded envelope. These images are from his site:
I was considering getting a Darkhawk commission, but then I saw this page. It's on blueline, and it looks like printed blue line but in my haste to get my e-mail off to Spencer I didn't really consider it. The price was right, though, and I really have no intention of ever selling it so I'm happy.
And then I got this one. This page is so wrong. Hee hee hee. Next on my bucket list is the most depraved page from Crossed (any of them, really) I can get my hands on.
That's right - I got the page with the exploding baby!!!
