I'm curious what G. Willow Wilson does (I am in the minority that actually liked Air). The fact that it is another mini (a.k.a. a low time and money investment) helps. Finally, David Lopez's Dob Bluth-y art doesn't hurt either

I liked Air for the 1st 12 issues or so then got kind of tired of it.....it just lost my interest. I liked Willow's Cairo OGN & also her Vixen mini-series.

But create completely NEW concepts in the Crossgen universe using the Sigil, just with new worlds & characters we never saw in the original Crossgen U if you want to do new stuff.

On Mystic, since it's being re-imagined from scratch pretty much, I just don't see why they need to slap the Mystic name on it. Why take just a couple of names of a perfectly good pre-existing property and do a complete re-tooling of it?

For me personally, I just won't financially support Marvel doing something like this. I'll pick up back issues being remaindered down the road, but I won't contribute to something like this being successful.

I WILL continue to support anything that is a faithful extension of pre-existing material (like Ruse) OR if they do something completely new, I'll at least try it out/.

Yep. 100% agree.

All they are doing is making me not buy these "new" books.

I can totally respect this position. I agree that the creative decision to tell continuity-free stories is smart but that Marvel's marketing/branding decision to reassert the character names/book titles undercuts or even contradicts the former.

Cairo is probably the best story of hers I've read. I'll try to keep my eye out for that Vixen mini...

I actually liked Air, but at a time when I had to cut back I dropped it. I guess I didn't like it enough to go back when I could, but it was intriguing. And I'm also a big fan of David Lopez so I will be checking this out.

I read the original Mystic and liked it, but like Sigil, a new twist on the story is fine as long as it's good. I can definitely understand why some who enjoyed the original Crossgen would be thrown off by the changes, though (or just don't feel like starting again).
