If you like horror comics, FEC has a nice B&W anthology book for 99 cents - Fireside Tales. The catch is they are Australian so it might be 99 cents in their money. I bought a paper copy however it is more expensive and you have to pay to ship it.

I also read Kranburn (again in paper form) which is a post-apolcalypic tale. I also like that book.

I struck up a friendship online with some Australians and they introduced me to these comics (and others). I do like foreign comics (especially available in English). If you do grab any of these, let me know what you think.

Good looking out, I was able to get the free digital copy. I have been enjoying the Miles Morales Ultimate Spider-Man. I didn't preorder any of the crossover individual issues, until I heard the a review or two praising the series. As a result I have the ordered the hardcover for the imaginary library ( this recession) or college age children (can't convince them they are not adults yet). 8)

Marvel has been including the digital code with Season One hardcovers, hope they do it with this HC too.

Bob, I'll take one of the Locke and Keys if you still have it. Thanks.

I've collected for almost 25 years. Never thought I would go digital. But due to some podcasts and articles I've followed, I thought it couldn't hurt to look into it. Boy, am I hooked. Love it. What it has done for me is it opened things up for me to try alot more indie books. I kept hearing how Image was knocking it out of the park with their new series. I was shocked to find that comixology had 20-25 #1's of those same series available for free. This was extremely smart on their part because 1) free makes it easy for me to try a series I never would have before. And 2) reading all these online is tricking me into getting used to reading them in this format. Now there are several Image series I will be collecting. Still not comfortable paying cover price though. So far my ceiling is $1.99 for a regular floppy size issue.

That's not to say I'm done with floppies. There are many characters I've followed over the years that I enjoy having a large collection of. And I'm a sucker for a nice hardcover and/or absolute edition.

Today's free book from comixology is Detective Comics #1 from the new 52. I'm guessing they chose that one to go along with the Joker returning in Batman #13 that was released today. Enjoy.

Unfortunately, I've passed out all the Locke&Key codes that I had.

BTW, here is the link for that free Detective #1:

I loved Transmet....... What Comixology needs to do now is do giant "Digital Ominibus sales". Like get all 60-some odd issues of Transmet for $45 or something.......

Ever notice the free marvel comics they slip in every week but are not listed on the free comics section? I go to the top selling section and filter the list to top selling free books. Almost once every week there are 3 new marvel books on there.
